I'm thrilled to have arrived today to introduce quirkesworx to you.

our aim, to provide Aotearoa New Zealand merchants (sellers) & Aotearoa New Zealand consumers (buyers), access to a nimble, easy to navigate, secure, digital marketplace, offering only Aotearoa New Zealand produce + product + services, grown, manufactured & designed in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Through our 4 pillar foundation, it is our passionate belief we have the structure correct to meet and exceed our financial, social and environmental ambitions.

 Some History 

The first Quirke family home in Thorndon ,Wellington, was within 25 meters of the Thorndon Swimming Baths. Needless to say 

swimming has been in our family lifeblood for over a century, since Nana & Granddad arrived from Ireland cira 1888.

 The Quirke family mini-market located in Karori ,Wellington. Cira 1950’s—1960’s soon after became one of the first 
4 squares in the country. 
Trading was in our spirit right from the start. Mum & Dad were excellent 

merchandisers, ensuring the right products were always on the shelves for our
customers, at the right price, as well as a shop that was open 7 days a week.

Times have changed with on-line shopping becoming the new norm for many, however the old ways of running a successful retail enterprise haven’t changed much. A tradition that quirkesworx has every intention of carrying into the future.
